Blac Chyna Begins Selling Skin Bleaching Cream

Reality TV star Blac Chyna is facing a social media criticism after announcing plans to launch a skin-lightening cream in Africa.

Blac Chyna has formed a partnership with a high-end skin bleaching company called Whitenicious by Dencia. Nigerian- Cameroonian singer Dencia, who founded the company, Whitenicious,  has also been criticized for selling skin bleaching products.

However, Dencia has defended her product line, saying the products only treat dark spots and hyperpigmentation. She added they do not contain bleaching ingredients that could damage the skin, she said in an interview with Ebony magazine in 2014.

Dencia added “Will Whitenicious bleach your skin if you use it on all your skin? Yes, it will. Are we selling Whitenicous for that purpose? No, we’re not.”

Chyna, like Dencia, also insists the produce isn’t a skin bleaching cream. A product description reveals the cream is said to provide a “brightening glow for younger-looking skin, helps renew texture and revitalizes skin’s hydration.”

The product will be called ‘Whitenicious x Blac Chyna Diamond Illuminating & Lightening Cream’, and is priced at $250. It comes in a jar that’s studded with Swarovski crystals, according to TMZ.

Blac Chyna will launch the product in Lagos, Nigeria this weekend.
