A Florida man was arrested this week on burglary charges after he rode a horse to break into a house in New Port Richey.
Security footage captured Lonnie Maddox, 52, nicknamed “The Rooster,” walking around outside the victim’s property on Thursday morning, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. Maddox was accompanied by Angel, a brown horse.
As Angel wandered away, Maddox can be seen opening the property’s screened porch, before then attempting to unlock the front door. Maddox eventually decided the approach was futile and opted to enter through a back window, according to deputies.
A bride and groom are planning on secretly feeding their 30 wedding guests roadkill meat.
The unnamed couple have sourced 20 kilos in a bid to make their wedding breakfast more “environmentally friendly.”
And they are offering £5,000 for a chef to serve it up.
The pair, who have been regularly dining on roadkill for three years, asked to remain anonymous because they did not want their guests to know where the meat has been sourced from.
They have requested the caterer to “dress it up”, so as not to arouse suspicion of the ingredient’s origin

West Mifflin police say 20-year-old Grace Brown is facing multiple charges including criminal mischief, open lewdness and public drunkenness. It wasn’t known if she’s retained an attorney.
Brown turned herself in Tuesday after learning that authorities were looking for her.
Authorities had posted surveillance photos of the incident on Twitter. But they haven’t said when the incident took place or why she allegedly relieved herself on the potatoes.
A Walmart representative has said an employee saw what Brown was doing. The company “immediately disposed of the affected products and sanitized the area.”
The incident comes weeks after video posted on social media showed people licking ice cream from Walmart freezers in Texas and Louisiana.
POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 35-year-old Grand Rapids man is facing several felony charges after police say he broke into two homes and crashed into a car, all while naked.
It happened around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Garfield Street in Polkton Township, where the caller said her husband was assaulted by a naked man.
Numerous units were headed to the area when police dispatch was alerted that the suspect was walking up to a second house. Investigators say he walked into the second house and assaulted the elderly woman who lives there. The woman’s husband said his wife hit the man with a pop can and fought him off until her husband made it into the room to get him out of the house.
“He had a wild look in his eyes,” said the victim’s husband, who did not want to be identified.
“I don’t want to know what would have happened if I hadn’t been here,” he said.
The suspect then drove east on Garfield Street toward 32nd Avenue. Authorities say he seemed to intentionally crash into a pickup truck with a mother and her three children in it. He ditched his totaled car and ran toward the wooded area south of I-96.
Several deputies chased him down to make the arrest. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. None of the six victims were seriously injured.
The man faces several felony charges and he is expected to be arraigned in the coming days. The incident remains under investigation.
