MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police have arrested a man accused of vandalizing Miramar High School while naked during the Memorial Day weekend.

Police said Matthew Crandall, 21, of North Fort Myers, has been charged with burglary and criminal mischief for breaking into the educational facility and causing about a $100,000 worth of damage.

Surveillance video captured Chandall wearing a hat, headphones but not clothes.

It is unclear how police came to arrest Crandall. It is unknown what his motivation was to vandalize the school.

Authorities said Crandall broke into the school on Monday at around 8 a.m. and spent the entire day “causing significant amount of damage.”

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) – The Fort Walton Beach Police Department has arrested a suspect after a man was shot in the head with an arrow Sunday night.

Matthew Ross Peters,42, is charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, one count of firing a deadly missile into a moving vehicle.

The police department states in a release officers responded to 205 First Street around 11:15 p.m. and rendered aid to the victim identified as 57-year-old Benny Davis of Fort Walton Beach.

Davis was transported to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for serious head injuries and was later released. He told officers he was riding his bike when a truck pulled up next to him and shot him in the head with an arrow.

Police: Cape Coral man arrested after biting neighbor, threatening with pickaxe

Cape Coral police arrested a man Monday accused of biting and striking his neighbor before threatening him with a pickaxe.

Police responded to the disturbance at 7:40 p.m. and charged Tylor McHugh, 22, with aggravated assault and battery, according to a Cape Coral Police news release.

McHugh bit his neighbor on the arm, struck him in the back with a broomstick and followed him while threatening him with a pickaxe, according to a police report.

He also shoulder-checked a second person, who did not wish to press charges, the release states.

McHugh was medically cleared for a laceration he sustained during the altercation and was taken to Lee County Jail.

He is being held on $15,000 bond and has a court hearing scheduled for July 20
